  • July 17 – September 6, 2018 / Pitch Night event and celebration September 7, 2018
  • TBA

Five to ten hours of weekly homework focused on accredited reference material and “out of the building” discovery should be expected, while class time will be spent collaboratively and cooperatively engaging with fellow class mates exploring, building and editing project material. Each Cohort will culminate with an official “Pitch Night” held on stage and delivered to class mates, Empowered Startup Directors, and select astute members of the global business world.

Environment

The environment and culture of the class will be such that a skilled facilitator will lead the class collectively on a journey that is consciously formed around peer dialogue, collaboration, and the creative process. This culture is pervasive and critical to entrepreneurial success and will set the tone for every class. Furthermore, the class will take place in a contemporary Cafe setting equipped with modern audio visual equipment, and comfortable furniture to encourage informal yet thought provoking conversation and engagement. A light Dinner and drinks will also be served at the start of each evening session.

Evaluation

Entrepreneurs will be evaluated in-class, based on the methods listed in the course outlines and how much quality evidence they compile in validating the four questions discussed below.  There will be specific deliverables and group projects that are consistent with what is required to validate four questions all startups constantly grapple with:

1. Do customers in a market know they have a problem?

2. If there was a solution would they buy it?

3. Would they buy it from us?

4. Can we build the solution?

In order to successfully complete the GSA, participants must successfully attend 85% of classes, must build a concise and iterated Lean Canvas Business Model, must complete assigned deliverables per course module, and must deliver a pitch on “Pitch Night.”
