Web Summit 2025: Empowered Startups Joins the Conversation in Lisbon  

Considered the largest tech conference in the world, Web Summit brings together key players from across the technology ecosystem. This year, the conference will be held from November 10 to 13, 2025, at the MEO Arena and Lisbon Exhibition & Congress Center, attracting over 70,000 attendees.  

Founded in 2009, Web Summit has been held annually in Lisbon, Portugal, since 2016. It brings together entrepreneurs, investors, customers, policymakers, and industry leaders to network, learn, and share the latest advancements in technology.  

With over 20 content tracks this year, including AI, marketing, fintech, corporate innovation, and economic policy, the conference connects people and ideas that change the world.  

Partnerships that Matter

At Empowered Startups, we’re strong supporters of bringing innovation and global talent to Portugal. We’ve seen firsthand the benefits of attending the conference, so we’ve partnered with Web Summit and the Santarém Polytechnic University to be part of the conversation this year!  

As partners of Web Summit, we’ll be attending the event, speaking on a panel, and hosting a roundtable. Our “Foreign Direct Investment and Talent Attraction for Innovation” roundtable will be at the Ecosystem Summit on Monday, November 10, at SUD Lisbon. The Ecosystem Summit is an invite-only gathering of global innovators and policy leaders, designed to foster collaboration and the sharing of strategies. More information on the panel will be available soon.   

Our other partner for Web Summit is the Santarém Polytechnic University, a valued long-term partner of the HQA® program. We work closely with them to foster R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Portugal. Visit their booth to meet our team and learn more about our programs.
