We are seeking a highly diligent and confident individual with strong marketing expertise and is capable of guiding and executing on strategy. As Marketing Lead, you will power Empowered Start-ups brand by developing omnichannel, multifaceted marketing campaigns, events and long-form content that addresses goals for its partners, prospects and customers.

The Marketing Lead position comes with great responsibility, as you will be responsible for managing the perception of the company/brand among the public and our partners. Managing this perception involves working with the leadership team to craft timely strategies, develop online content, media, and news releases and facilitate in person events both in Canada and in key overseas markets. 

Responsibilities and Duties

As Marketing Lead you will be responsible for executing effective messaging and communication campaigns. You will own the creation and upkeep of key marketing materials the company will share with the public, media, and partners. You will work with all forms of media, including press releases and digital campaigns, events, print materials, social media, website, audio, video and more. You will leverage your own crafts and lean on external contractors and freelancers to develop compelling marketing communications that build the brand over time and help fuel sales over night. You will build industry profile, manage its reputation and actively market the company through case studies and testimonials, company videos & brochures, newsletters and any new media that performs. You will own public relations, news, media relations, event management and pre/post marketing, appearances. You will curate our story and proposition via social media, website, newsletters, blog and emerging channels and monitoring and reporting across all channels.

Other job duties include

  • Working closely and in line with members of the RevOps, Sales and Platform team.
  • Creating and managing all content for company websites.
  • Preparing and managing all communications material.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, personality and image across all platforms.
  • Manage media relations and developing contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders. v
  • Direct and co-produce digital, video, audio, and print content.
  • Managing company presence and materials at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Creating budgets for communications initiatives and ensuring compliance.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies.
  • Understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, HTML coding, and digital graphics production.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing.
  • Experience sourcing, creating and distributing digital content.
  • Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
  • Strong leadership track record.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
  • Established media relations a plus.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree in communications/marketing, with a minimum 6 years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related experience.
  • Proven track record in leadership roles and successful execution of brand strategy initiatives.
  • Experience and/or deep passion working in a multi-cultural and global environment.
  • Desire to learn and enthusiasm for system implementation and project management.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced, methodical and conscientious Programs Manager to manage our clients’ journey from onboarding to program completion. This role involves carrying out official communications, overseeing data tracking, and streamlining client services. This position requires the careful facilitation of comprehensive procedures across several programs, so self-organization, attention to detail, and a structured approach are critical to be successful in this role.

The ideal candidate is proactive, accountable, highly organized, and has superior communication skills. We are a dynamic organization that operates in the digital space and our team is growing. We are looking for a long-term addition to our team who can successfully grow with our organization.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Implement a highly structured client onboarding regimen across several different programs, each with a unique structure and system
  • Efficiently carry out all formal communications with clients, agents, law firms, and government bodies on Empowered’s Registrars using templates and creatively problem-solving nuanced situations
  • Prepare communications and manage the preparation of contracts, invoices, letters of support, and/or graduation letters for distribution to clients and/or agents
  • Delegate administrative tasks to support staff in a professional and conscientious manner
  • Communicate centrally with sales, startup leaders, legal, and operations for the purpose of efficiently, cohesively, and successfully facilitating the customer journey from start-to-end
  • Accountable for ensuring accurate daily data reporting on Salesforce, tracking the events of each client’s journey
  • Prepare weekly reports summarizing key events across all programs
  • Providing on-going support to the Operations Controller

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in business/office administration, communications, science or a related field of study such as paralegal studies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, SharePoint) and Adobe is a must
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and a strong sense of ownership are paramount
  • Highly self-organized problem-solver and driven learner
  • Adaptable, can-do attitude, and flexible in a dynamic work environment, adjusting quickly to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administration and/or management role is required
  • At least 3 years of combined experience in a digital communications/client service role
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, methodically managing programs/systems, thoughtfully problem-solving important matters
  • Employment in a role that requires a high degree of organization, handling sensitive documents and performance of specific procedures in a structured and timely manner
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
