Quality has always been important when choosing a designated organization for the Canada Start-up Visa (SUV) Program, but it’s even more essential now. With Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) capping the number of annual SUV applications each designated organization can submit, competition for Canada’s leading SUV incubator, Empowered Startups, is heating up. As explained in this Investment Migration Insider (IMI) article, agents and founders hoping to be included in the 2024 cohort of applicants must act quickly.

Though there is now a hard ceiling on the number of SUV applications IRCC will accept each year, each application may include up to five co-founders, who are all eligible to relocate to Canada along with their families if accepted into the SUV Program. Proper guidance, mentorship, and support from an established incubator like Empowered Startups has proven to increase the likelihood of successfully navigating the SUV Program while establishing both personal and professional roots in Canada.
