What is the Scientific Research and Innovation Tax Incentive (IFIC)?

IFIC is a Portuguese tax regime that took effect on January 1, 2024. It replaced the previous Non-Habitual Resident (NHR) regime with IFIC to attract highly skilled professionals, researchers, and innovation-driven companies to Portugal. 

This incentive provides significant personal income tax benefits for 10 years.
