Empowered Startups has been featured in The Portugal News for their recent expansion into the Serra da Estrela region.

The article outlines how Canadian multinational, Empowered Startups, which has attracted foreign investment to higher education institutions, has announced plans to extend its work to the Serra da Estrela region.

“We see enormous potential in the Serra da Estrela territories”, highlighted Chris Lennon, president of Empowered Startups, during a session held at Seia City Hall. “We want to be partners in attracting investment and qualified people who can then create companies with global potential. These territories have a lot to gain from the work we do.”

Empowered Startups, based in Évora, has been operating its HQA Visa program in Portugal for a little over three years, but recently delivered to the Government a Commitment Letter agreeing to recruit 50 new entrepreneurs, business executives, and domain experts to invest in new projects within the next 12 months, and then to grow the program further each year thereafter.
